2975 Just Transition Postcards delivered!!!!!!

Hello everyone!

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday's People's Climate Action Plan Postcards delivery to the Vermont Climate Council! We maxed out the meeting's 100 people zoom capacity and I know many of you were not able to join because of that. This came to the attention of the Council during the meeting as they witnessed substantial support for a just transition in Vermont.

Marisa Keller (Montpelier) and Catherine Bock (Charlotte) presented our asks and delivered 2975 postcards/petition signatures as well as the notes from our Just Transition Community Conversations. If you missed it, the recording of the meeting will be posted here in the coming days.

Thank you to everyone who worked hard this last month collecting postcards in your communities. We just touched the tip of the iceberg and we will continue engaging our neighbors to build the political will that is needed for the state to act boldly. Let's take a moment to celebrate the work we've accomplished together so far!

Up next: We're going to continue to keep the Climate Action Plan process front and center across the state - more postcards, more public comments, LOTS of letters to the editor -- and meet with state legislators to ensure climate justice is a top priority in 2022. Stay tuned for details.

Let's continue to turn our commitment to climate justice into real political power!
